The much awaited bout between two boxing superstar, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, is now officially canceled after it was confirmed by promoter and Top Rank chief Bob Arum.
“The fight’s off,” Arum, Pacquiao’s promoter, told espn.com‘s Dan Rafael.
The reason for the fight cancellation is apparently, Mayweather rejected an offer by the Pacquiao camp that both fighters undergo random drug tests 30 to 24 days before the bout. Or it could be that he didn’t agreed upon the fight prize. But of course, looks like Mayweather is more concerned about him being beaten by Pacquiao that earning $20M win or lose.
The two fighter will have their own separate fight this coming March 2010. It was reported that Manny Pacquiao will be fighting WBO junior middleweight champion Yuri Foreman while Floyd Mayweather will be going after, Ricky Hatton’s brother, Matthew Hatton.
