Judgmental People

I don’t understand how a lot of people can be so judgmental of a situation where only one side of the story was heard. So a public figure acted this way. Arguably, the act may not have been good or ideal but how can people immediately condemn the person without even knowing the circumstances and reasons that caused the person to react as such?
Wise men often say that we shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover. Yet the minute we something we deem not nice or “evil”, we immediately condemn the person without even seeking reason and truth first.

Life is full of choices and every moment of our lives is spent making decisions. How do you know if you’re making the right choice?
The truth is you never know. And you’ll never know because every decision is a risk. The proverbial fork in the road will always lead to some regrets at some point and of course beg to ask the question “what if”. “What if I chose the other road instead…would the outcome be better?”
Whichever toad you choose and whichever decision you make, know that you’re always taking a risk. And that’s good because at the end of the day, if it turns out that you made a mistake then you can learn from it and learn to avoid it next time.

What you wanted to be when you were young can certainly change when you grow up. The most influential things that make you want to pursue a certain profession of course is dictated by your environment.
Personally when I was young, everyone around me said that I was such a good liar that I should become a lawyer. And I did in fact aspired to be that one day but reality is not so permitting.
Instead of becoming a big shot lawyer, I have landed myself instead in the field of Sciences where the work revolves mainly on research.
There are times that I wonder what would have become of my life if I was given that opportunity to pursue a career in law but I simply learned to accept that what you once dreamed of may not necessarily become your reality.

No one’s perfect and everyone has a flaw. People may think otherwise and there will always be these group of people who most classify as well, perfect. But the truth is that they’re not and no one is.
No one should be obligated to change for the benefit of some people. No one should change to gain even the smallest of appreciation and attention. They call it peer pressure when one feels the need to conform to the established “norm” when the truth is, the true you is a far cry from it.
This blog was inspired by Pink’s song perfect and I think that apart from it being inspirational, it sends a very powerful message to those who feel pressured and to those who does the pressuring.
No one’s perfect. And never change just to conform.
